About the Film

A community of gold miners and fishermen have to learn to live amidst the consequences of a hydroelectric project that, by flooding the river banks, forced them to set up camp over the Cauca canyon, from where they observe a world that confirms the forcefulness of reality.

About the Filmmaker

Graduate in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Antioquia. Jury member of the Conexión competition at the 18th edition of Bogoshorts.

Director of the short films De Muertos y Flores, which premiered at the 17th edition of Bogoshorts (2019).
El Sol del Río, which had its World Premiere at Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse (2023) and won the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards. The film also had its International Premiere at the Moscow International Film Festival, North American Premiere at PHLAFF, Latin American Premiere at FICQ (2023), and National Premiere at Bogoshorts (2023).
