Silent Struggle
About the Film
Silent Struggle is a humanist documentary that explores what happens when, at the height of success, life unexpectedly collapses.
Following Spanish footballer Isco Alarcón through a period marked by illness, uncertainty, and public scrutiny, the film moves beyond stadiums and headlines to enter the fragile space between public image and private vulnerability. As his career stalls and his identity is questioned, we witness the emotional cost of rebuilding when everything once seemed secure.
Through an intimate lens, the film reflects on resilience, family, and the quiet strength required to start again. It also challenges the culture of immediacy and social media perfection that suggests success is fast, effortless, and permanent. Silent Struggle reminds us that even those perceived as privileged must confront doubt, fragility, and the long road back — a journey that ultimately belongs to all of us.
