About the Film
Sebastián, un arquitecto que atraviesa una crisis de la mediana edad a los 45 años, es despedido de su trabajo como profesor universitario por mantener una relación sentimental con una estudiante. Desempleado, intenta recuperar el control de su vida, que parece haber perdido hace mucho tiempo. En su casa, la situación es caótica: su padre casi muere de un infarto y es adicto a la pornografía, su matrimonio se desvanece en la rutina, su hijo quiere abandonar el colegio para convertirse en youtuber y su perro está viviendo sus últimos días.Cuando la tarea de poner todo en orden ya parece colosal, su hermano regresa de un viaje y le pide su parte de la herencia, removiendo viejos resentimientos familiares.
Sebastian, an architect going through a mid-life crisis at age 45, is fired from his job as a university professor for having a romantic relationship with a student. Unemployed, he attempts to regain control of his life which he seems to have lost long ago. In his house, the situation is chaotic: his father almost died of a heart attack and is addicted to pornography, his marriage fades into routine, his son wants to drop out of school to become a youtuber and his dog is living out his last days. When the task of putting everything in order already seems colossal, his brother arrives from a trip and asks for his inheritance, stirring old family resentments.

About the Filmmaker
Ecuadorian film, commercial, and content director, Pablo Arturo Suárez completed a Master’s degree in Directing in 2011 at the Cinema and Audiovisual School of Catalonia (ESCAC). During his studies, he directed two short films: The Guitar (2011) and When the Morning Burst Forth (2013). The latter premiered in the Official Selection of the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival and was screened at more than twenty international festivals. It was also selected for the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013.
In 2016, he released his debut feature film, An Ocean Between Us. Alongside his work in fiction, he has developed a strong career directing advertising campaigns and branded content, creating audiovisual projects for television and digital platforms. He is currently presenting his second fiction feature film, The Dog, My Father and Us. // Pablo Arturo Suárez es un director ecuatoriano de cine, publicidad y contenidos. En 2011 obtuvo un Máster en Dirección en la Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Cataluña (ESCAC). Durante sus estudios dirigió dos cortometrajes: The Guitar (2011) y When the Morning Burst Forth (2013). Este último tuvo su estreno en la Selección Oficial del Festival de Cine Iberoamericano de Huelva y fue exhibido en más de veinte festivales internacionales. También formó parte del Short Film Corner del Festival de Cannes en 2013. En 2016 estrenó su ópera prima, An Tan distintos. Paralelamente a su trabajo en ficción, ha desarrollado una sólida trayectoria como director de campañas publicitarias y contenido de marca, creando proyectos audiovisuales para televisión y plataformas digitales. Actualmente presenta su segundo largometraje de ficción, Nosotros, mi papá y el perro.
