GRINGO, The Story of a Stolen Life
About the Film
Between 2003 and 2008, 6,400 young men from poor areas in Bogotá were executed and falsely presented as guerrillas—cases known as "false positives." Luz Marina Bernal’s son, Faird, was one of them. Born premature and disabled, he defied the odds until his murder in 2008. Found in a military uniform with 12 bullet wounds, he was falsely labeled a guerrilla leader. Now, Luz Marina fights for justice and his honor.
