About the Filmmaker
Luis Güereca is a graduate from California State University Northridge (CSUN) film school. Luis has directed short documentaries, PSAs, music videos, and several profile pieces for community-based organizations throughout Ventura County. Luis was the co-founder of Ventura County's first annual film fest, which later became the Sight + Sound Festival. He's currently in production on a short documentary titled "24 to 36 Months" and in pre-production for his next narrative short film scheduled to go into production in the summer of 2025.
As a writer, current projects include a feature-length film, a sitcom, and a series. His stories often focus on themes and topics revolving around his Mexican culture.
Luis resides in Oxnard, California.
