PHLAFF is excited to announce SOY CRIS DE TIERRA BOMBA / I'M CRIS FROM TIERRA BOMBA as an addition to our programming for this season! The feature-length film will be screening as a part of Week Seis Bloque Two.

SOY CRIS DE TIERRA BOMBA / I'M CRIS FROM TIERRA BOMBA — “For a long time, Cristian dreams of becoming an actor. But one day he realizes that what he really wants is exactly the opposite – not to play a role, but just to be himself. For 7 years, I, Josephine, with my camera, accompany Cristian in this self-discovery. I come to understand that our world punishes those who live outside a supposed ‘norm’. Cris finally decides that all he has to do is fly – with his black wings.”

The film first premiered at the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI). Since then, it has been gaining traction through its impact supporting the LGBTIQ+ community regionally, nationally, and internationally. The film and team have a strategic alliance with the NGO OutRight International, the only LGBTIQ NGO with an observation mission at the United Nations, and with the NGO Colombia Diversa.
