About the Filmmaker
Adrian and Andrew Nuño are Chicago-based filmmakers and co-founders of Luminoso Studios, a production company dedicated to bold storytelling rooted in identity, transformation, and human connection. Together, they produced the short film Final Frame, a project centered on LGBTQ+ love and work/life balance, which surpassed its $20,000 crowdfunding goal, filmed in the fall of 2024 and was completed in Summer 2025. Their web series Border’d, a drama that centers on a trio of Latine siblings reuniting in their hometown, was featured on Open Television, an Emmy-nominated streaming platform amplifying diverse creators and boundary-pushing stories. In addition, it was selected to screen at Melbourne WebFest, Miami Web Series Festival and NVISION Latino Film & Music Festival. Andrew is also an Emmy Award winner for his work on Mardi Gras for All Y’all, a groundbreaking virtual celebration that reimagined cultural connection during the pandemic in New Orleans. As storytellers, the Nuño Twins are known for blending cinematic craft with emotional depth. Through their podcast, Twin Spin, they sit down with artists, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to explore the pivotal moments that shape who we become. At the heart of their work is a shared mission: to create stories that make people feel seen, heard, and inspired to live fully—on screen and beyond.
