About the Film
After losing all their money, Clara and Roberto meticulously craft a scam, using their impeccable appearance and "rich" status to deceive their victims, including their close friend, Javier. The setting? An abandoned estate on the outskirts of the city, where they have created an almost theatrical setting to execute their scam.

About the Filmmaker
Sofía is a Salvadoran-Mexican filmmaker, writer, and editor whose love for movies began in childhood, inspired by The Sound of Music, a film her mother shared with her. A self-taught filmmaker, she wrote and directed her first short film in 2019, which won Best Cinematography and Best Actress at Sivar en Cortos, where she later served as a judge.
Since then, Sofía has written, directed, and edited multiple short films, collaborated with other artists, and worked as an editor on projects for music artists, international brands, YouTube channels, and TV. In 2021, she served as director of photography for the short film Cosificada, created for the UN; the film was selected in festivals and contributed to the passing of a law removing music that denigrates women from public transportation.
Together with her partner Pedro Guzman, she founded Vortico Films, a creative space dedicated to telling personal, honest, and emotional stories. Her work often draws from her own experiences, aiming to create moments of connection where audiences can relate to her characters, feel their struggles and joys, and leave with renewed purpose and hope.
