Alejandro Arroyo serves as the Director of U.S. Networks at Paramount . Alejandro’s grew a strong relationship with the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival and was engaged with the coordination of the festival from 2019-2022 while serving as a Specialist with the Content Acquisition department and a co-lead for Unidos, employee resource group, at Comcast NBCUniversal.

Ana Flores

Executive Director, The Gantry Group 

Ana Flores is currently the Executive Director of The Gantry Group. She served previously as the Executive Director of Mi Casa es Puebla, the office of representation of the state of Puebla in the east coast, located in Manhattan, NY and Passaic, New Jersey. In that role, Ana led efforts to oversee the services provided to the hundreds of thousands people of Puebla origin living in the area.

Business Analyst, AmeriHealth Caritas

Born in New York and raised in Puerto Rico. Glendalee made the city of Brotherly love her home. She is a business developer and marketing strategist with experience in the nonprofit and corporate sector. While in New York Glendalee worked as a Media Buyer for ITN Networks and in her early years in Philadelphia she became an Account Executive, she is now a Business Analyst and combines her media buying and business analytics experience to establish and nourish synergies and showcase PHLAFF in positive light. Glendalee have been a friend of PHLAFF for many years and in 2018, serving as Sponsorship Manager and Corporate & Community Partnerships Coordinator. She is a vivid fan of arts, music and culture and enjoy participating in events that promote diversity and cultural understanding. She aims to connect individuals and organizations with PHLAFF audience and stakeholders that shared common stories.

Shannon Maldonado

Founder, Creative Director at YOWIE

YOWIE is a home and life shop founded by Shannon Maldonado. The storefront and design studio aims to showcase emerging artists and create and curate spaces that evoke emotion and discovery. Shannon sits on the board of directors at Fleisher Art Memorial and seeks to build an intersection between art and community. Past collaborators include The Philadelphia Museum of Art, CB2, Fleisher Art Memorial, Ubiq, ICA Philadelphia, The Wing, Ethel’s Club, and The Deacon.

Arturo Varela

Director of Public Relations, Culture ONE World

Arturo Varela is a seasoned communications professional with more than 10 years of experience leading strategic corporate and consumer communications with a focus on diversity and multicultural communications, public and media relations. He currently serves as Director of Public Relations at Culture ONE World, a cross-cultural advertising and media arts agency based in Washington, D.C. that builds and executes marketing communication strategies for U.S. multicultural markets. He has also worked in tourism marketing and focused on the Latinx and LGBTQ markets. His work as a journalist—covering a broad range of topics from arts and culture to politics and business— has been recognized with many local and national awards.


 

Daniel de Jesús
Board Member

Daniel is an artist and educator based in Philadelphia PA. They are the Youth Artist Program manager at the Taller Puertorriqueño, a visual arts training program for youth to develop access to the Creative Economy.  They are a practicing multidisciplinary artist who works as a painter, composer, and songwriter. As an educator and administrator, de Jesús works to give access to experiences and opportunities for youth to participate in the creative arts through inclusive programs in Philadelphia.
